IBNA: Figures as Seyyed Ali Kashefi Khansari, Massoud Malek Yari and Shahram Eghbalzadeh (expert and executer) attended the meeting. Khansari divided the supervision on publishing child book into two parts: “supervision principles” and “current activity which is going on”.

He said : “supervision principles means that when a book is published for children, our duty is to supervise and review the work but operational debate means the activity and process of publishing a book in Iran.”

He mentioned Mehdi Hajvani’s name as the first one who begins the regular work of supervision on children's books and said :” Supervising children's book is evident from different rational, legal, religious and social … aspects. It is as a standard sign, like all goods that gain justification for being produced.”

Kashefi added :” How should this supervision be? Is the present supervision cure-all? The fact is that neither government, nor the publisher, cultural attendant and the writer are satisfied from the current situation.”

He said :”Supervision on children's book is a hard work and can’t carry the government to desired results. I believe the supervision must have support and guidance.”

He said that any kind of law is better than chaos and pointed out to the regulation of supervision on children's books which have been compiled two years ago and said : “ According to the law, it must be revised and updated every two years.”

He emphasized: “ There is no way except moving towards clear and explicit supervision. We have to defend the rights of children who are under the age of adolesence.”

The writer and researcher of children's literature, Massoud Malek Yari also said :” There is difference between censorship and supervising children's books.”

“I believe the level of supervision (which is implemented) and the government’s meddling is important; in my idea whatever this supervision goes far from government, the situation of children's books will be better, on the other hand clarity in supervision is necessary.”

He also criticized the quality of some published books; he reviewed some examples which in his idea did not have necessary quality for children.

Malek Yari declared :” The supervision must be based on the literary taste of children by competent experts.”

Shahram Eghbalzadeh also represented a history about the evolution of supervision on child book in last 3 decades.
